What is stone processing?
Stone processing is a process in which we transform solid materials (natural or artificial) into stone products according to an agreed technical specification and production drawings.

Processing of natural and artificial stone
Natural stone processing is possible from granite, marble, quartzite, travertine, onyx, gneiss, limestone, sandstone and other natural stone.
Artificial, anglomerated stone processing is possible with quartz - Silestone, Caesarstone, Dekton, Lapitec, Neolith - products from the most well-known manufacturers of solid materials.

We process stone slabs and blocks
We work with both large-sized natural stone blocks and slabs. We have a complete production base of stone equipment, thanks to which we can perform all stone processing works at the AKMI factory.
Stone bonding
When gluing stone, we select appropriate tools and follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.
Each indicator – mixing ratio of products, drying time and drying temperature – determines a quality result.
We glue the stone according to the product's purpose and operating conditions.
Outdoor products are exposed to UV rays and climatic conditions, so they are selected special glue. Kitchen countertops are treated with chemicals that are suitable for contact with food and do not harm health.
We take into account the type and properties of the stone being glued.
For example, selecting glue for white marble is a particularly responsible process to prevent stains from appearing in the gluing areas due to the improper chemical composition of the glue.
Stone bonding is carried out in accordance with the requirements for bonding stone products.
We ensure that the products are dry and dust-free. AKMI workbenches are calibrated to maintain proper and accurate product geometry.
Stone milling
We can implement objects of extremely high complexity and volume, because we have installed 3- and 5-axis computer-controlled stone machining centers (CNC machines).

DESIGN AND 3D MODELING
We have extensive experience in the design and planning of stone products. We model three-dimensional products in 3D space. We photograph the slabs in order to perfectly match the natural stone pattern - thus ensuring the best continuity of the pattern in the product.
PRODUCT REINFORCEMENT, IMPREGNATION
We are interested in and apply innovations in the natural stone chemical industry. We know how to strengthen natural stone using special hardeners and fillers. We select the most suitable natural stone impregnants and introduce Customers to the care of natural stone products.
STONE LIGHTENING FOR SHIPS
In some applications, such as the shipbuilding industry, the weight of products is very important. We have mastered the methods of lightening stone and can reduce the weight of products by more than 50%.
Stone processing service processes
1. Receiving a request. Initial project discussion by phone or email regarding the quantity, type, and requirements of services required.
2. Submission of the drawing. The customer provides a drawing of the desired product.
3. Meeting at the factory. After agreeing on a time and date in advance, we will meet at our factory in Kaunas. We will discuss your order and calculate the price of the products. Remote coordination of the order is possible.
4. The contract is signed. We sign a contract that specifies the pre-agreed scope of work, deadlines, and price.
5. Measurement, design, coordination of production drawings. We measure with 3D scanning devices, which guarantees the most accurate final result.
6. Production work. According to the contract, we bring the stone intended for the implementation of the order or use the materials available in AKMI's warehouse. We manufacture products according to the agreed technical specifications and production drawings.
7. Delivery, export and installation. We code and package parts according to a coordinated system for easy installation. If necessary, we package them securely in export boxes. We deliver and install products on site.
8. Product care instructions. We familiarize the Customer with the care of natural or artificial stone products and provide instructions.
