Stone floor polishing

Polishing natural stone floors is an important procedure that helps maintain the beauty, durability, and hygiene of the floor.

Polished floors look elegant, are scratch-resistant and easy to clean.

It is a great choice for both private homes and public spaces. If you want to maintain the beauty and quality of your natural stone floor, we recommend polishing procedures and proper floor maintenance.

NATURAL STONE FLOOR TREATMENT

We perform all types of natural stone floor treatments: from matte-textured to mirror-gloss. We renew joint sealants and impregnate natural stone.

Floor grinding

During grinding, special discs are used to smooth the surface of the stone floor and the seams. By changing the grinding discs, the surface of the natural stone is smoothed until the desired mattness and brightness of the stone color are achieved.

Floor antiquing

Stone antiquing is performed with special abrasive brushes. The brushes help to highlight the structure of natural stone. The stone becomes embossed and pleasant to the touch.

Floor polishing

After the grinding process and working with finer-grained abrasive discs, a polished stone floor surface is obtained.

Benefits of polishing stone floors

Aesthetics

Polished natural stone floors look elegant and luxurious. They add appeal to any space and can be a great interior detail. For example, polished marble floors can add a touch of luxury to public spaces such as hotel lobbies or restaurants.

Longevity

Polishing increases the resistance of natural stone floors to scratches and stains. This is especially important in public spaces where the floor is exposed to high traffic. Polished granite floors can maintain their beauty and quality even after many years of heavy use.

Hygiene

Polishing helps to ensure that the floor is easy to clean and maintain. A key advantage of polished floors is that there are no deep seams between the pieces. A polished surface is less susceptible to stains and easier to clean than an untreated surface. This is especially important in kitchens or public toilets, where stains and dirt can often appear.

PROFESSIONAL POLISHING OF NATURAL STONE FLOORS

Entrust this work to professionals. It is important to note that polishing is a rather complicated process that requires not only the right tools, materials and techniques, but also an understanding of the technical characteristics of natural stone. Therefore, if you are not an experienced specialist, it is better to trust professionals who will have the necessary equipment and knowledge.

STONE FLOOR POLISHING PROCESS

The polishing process involves several stages. First, the floor must be cleaned of dust and dirt. Then, special tools such as polishing discs and grinders are used to smooth the surface, remove scratches and achieve the desired surface finish. After that, special chemicals are used to give the floor greater resistance and protect it from stains.

WHEN SHOULD I POLISH STONE FLOORS?

We always recommend that our customers perform the first floor surface treatment after the installation of the natural stone floor. During the sanding process, the seams between the details become shallow - this is an important advantage of stone floors, which determines easy maintenance and the durability of stone floors.

STONE FLOOR RENOVATION

The frequency of polishing depends on the intensity of use of the floor. It is generally recommended to polish at least once every 5 years, but this may vary depending on the specific situation. It is also important to regularly maintain the floor, clean it from dust and dirt, and use special cleaning products that are designed for natural stone.
