What do we cut with water?
We use water to cut various hard materials up to 50 mm thick:
Waterjet cutting, abrasive waterjet cutting
Waterjet cutting results in minimal material loss and allows for fast and accurate cutting of non-standard shaped openings and shapes. Waterjet cutting can be used to cut a variety of elements: mosaic details, letters, logos, non-standard shaped products, sink/faucet openings in countertops. Depending on the requirements of the solid materials, the appropriate jet pressure and cutting speed are selected.
Waterjet cutting options at the Akmi factory:
1. We use a water jet to cut various lines that are specified in the digital file.
2. We perform cutting very precisely (within 1 mm).
3. Precisely cut out irregular and regular shaped parts or openings in a part to exact dimensions.
4. We can also produce curved, irregular shapes.
5. We can cut the part at a very sharp angle.
6. We cut both very thin and thicker solid materials (up to 50 mm).
7. A small amount of cut material is lost.
8. No mechanical stress is created in the material, and its properties are not affected.
9. We implement production work within the agreed time.
10. If you wish to deliver large-format tiles in boxes, we will safely unload them using automated equipment upon prior arrangement.

Order a waterjet cutting service
1. Receiving a request.
Initial project discussion by phone or email regarding the quantity and nature of the services required.
2. Submission of the drawing.
You provide a drawing of the desired product. Ideally, the drawing should be in DWG or DXF format. If there is no digital file, we will prepare it for an additional fee.
3. Order acceptance.
You come to our factory in Kaunas, we accept your order. Have a spare part for testing. We can also accept the order remotely. Please make an appointment by phone before arriving.
4. Price calculation.
We calculate the exact price of your order. To calculate the price of waterjet cutting, you can send drawings by e-mail.
5. Order fulfillment.
We cut the raw material according to the required design and requirements.
6. Product packaging and collection.
We dry the product, package it, and deliver it to you.
Is additional gluing, edge processing, installation required?
• Bonding the substrate.
We adhere it to the base with suitable adhesives - this ensures safe operation and installation of the product.
• Edge bonding.
We glue the edges to make your product look visually thicker.
• Edge processing.
We process the edges: polish and mill them to meet your design requirements.
• Installation.
If necessary, we come to the facility and professionally install the product.
Examples of work
Preliminary service prices
Waterjet cutting for materials up to 10 mm thick – €27/m including VAT. A drawing is required for an accurate price and production time.
The price does not include design and program preparation work.
